Big thank you

Wendy you are a saviour thank you for bringing in the cancer research bags we bagged and boxed a further 600 this morning so our total to date is 1700 a fantastic achievement. I know there are still some to come in so this could rise by next week. If you still want to bring your cards in that would be great.

Tri Fold Shutter Album

Wow is was great fun and so simple once I worked out the measurements. We made this one at Technique Thursday last night if you want to know how its done come along to one of my scrapbook demos listed below at the range or pop along to my docraft demos and I will have one there for you to have a look at.

Simple these couple of cards are made using the Laura Ashley flock rub ons they are so yummy and really easy to do. These are both positive images but we also did a couple using the negative images as well I will post these when I find them!!!

We all love Tina and she comes up with some lovely simple ideas while I am demoing away so I thought you would love to see here simple mat and layering invite. This was beautiful and very quick. It had to be "big brother" was watching!!!

Slider card easy once you have made one. This one has the ribbon positioned slighty differently so that it pulls out with ease.

Oh how I love this vellum it's so versatile This card has gems stuck onto the flower centres. Simple but stylish.

This was the first attempt at a butterfly and ribbon request.

This is so simple and can be reproduced for all your wedding needs. Invites, order of service, place cards and menu.

This is another variation of one I did in a demo early in the year.

This doesn't show to well but what I have done is stamped and embossed these 2 the silver one is all stamping and the other one is a stamped heart in clear with clear embossing powder and a wedding invitation peel off, a couple of gems and its finished very simple and cost effective.

Cancer Research Cards

This year we are collecting cards for Cancer Research Last year we collected 2700+ for Marie Curie so we are hoping to collect 3000 this year. If you want to help us that would be great you can send or drop of your cards at the range bournemouth. If you want to come along to the store and make some we will be there on April 24th 10am-4pm this will be the final push to achieve our total as the closing date is 30th April.
All cards need to be A6 and can be for any occasion. Please leave the centre clear.
To date we have approx 1400. So we still have away to go.

Thank you ladies for another lovely day. The trip down and back way horrid with the rain and the fog, but once again you made me so welcome. It was lovely to see so many new faces and hope you all picked up afew helpful tips. Looking forward to seeing you again in May.


So are you an Andrex person or a Stores own toilet roll buyer???? Yes what a strange question to be asking!! but it is all relivant to this project. As this cute mini scrapbook was made from flattened toilet roll tubes and "Persimmon" papers. I think you will agree that it is rather lovely and a talking point.

O.K the instructions for this are simple squash all your loo rolls flat cut a curve out of one end and decorate with paper. Measure the width of said loo rolls and cut a piece of card about 1/4" narrower . Punch 2 holes in the straight edge of the loo roll about 1" apart. Now cut the insert down so the length so it is just shy of the 2 holes. Decorate the insert as you wish. Punch a hole in the curve section about 1/2" in. Prepare all of your tubes to the same stage as this makes life easier. Use a long piece of ribbon tread through both holes make sure the ribbon is straight. Hold onto the short end and gentle push the insert into the tube. Ajust the ribbon and tie in a knot, trim off. Finish off with 2 book rings decorate these with small pieces of ribbon.

Black and white always looks good so for this card I used black "textured 12x12 card" cut into a try shutter. I then punched out 2 strips of paper for the panels using one of the new "Mosaic Punchs". The flowers and message "Glitterations" I would have added clear and black gems, but I lost them under the mountain of bits on the table.

I am always being asked for instructions for my cards so hopefully this will make sense.

You will need a piece of card 5 1/2" x 12" Score across the long side at 2" , 4" , 8", 10" flip the card a 1/4 turn along the long edge measure in the width of you ruler cut from the 2" to the 10" flip the card round and repeat on the other long side. Fold the card the top and bottom folds should be the opposite to the centre fold. Decorate as you like.

A variation on the wedding invitation card this time using white "Glitterations", "Clear Mosaic Gems" which I coloured with my "Whisper Permanent Pens" .

Happy Easter this is a better colour variation.

Another large window card this time using "Rose Garden" paper and a "pink Parfait" decoupage.

This cute fella who has been eaten by a teddy is from the goody bag as are all the other components.

March 14th

These cards were made for the baby card demo. For the football boot card I used a stamp from the men's world collection, 2 layers of core card in 2 shades of blue the "it's a boy" is a trimcraft sticker. The sheep "welcome little one" is stamped and comes from one of the "hugs and honey" set. The paper is from the persimmon collection.

These stamps are so cute they are secret woodlands "bubbles" the paper is from 8x8 rose garden. I used a stamp from "wedding sentiments" to stamp the congratulations. Once again I used some of the core card.

Wow I wasn't looking forward to making this sample as the base and top panel are both in white and you were hard pressed to see the top. So out came my liquid chalks and I chalked the edges of the top panels the ribbons are from the persimmon collection and the decoupage is from a new white and copper pack we have at the range. Now it's finished I must say I love it.

This is another one of the new cards fro "red hot bed" The chevron card is a pre cut lace which I backed with a piece of " Rose garden " paper I then used the scallop border punch to cut the paper keeping the waste to put on the bottom The embellishment is from the back of "Rose garden" the sentiment is from " wedding sentiments".

These new punches are really lovely. I punched the centre one first and then lined up the punch and finished 2 either side. Stick a piece of paper to the inside of the card patterned side out. Place some gems in the centre of each punched image. Stamp the appropriate sentiment using liquid chalks. I finished the card off with 2 pieces of white glitteration border.

The stamps used for this card are from " cottage garden" this has to be one of my favorite stamp sets at the moment. I used masking tape to mark out the cross and then used the 2 leaf stamps and liquid chalks to stamp over the tape and onto the card. Trim the piece of card down and chalk the edges stick to the card and finish with a Happy Easter outline sticker.

Here it is again " cottage garden" stamp set. A really good investment at £5.99. I also used the embossed corner punch and the scalloped border punch. the card stock on these cards are from the timeless pack.
