Cath Kidson inspired

My daughter has a lovely Cath Kidson spotty bag and It inspired to make this card.

                      PMA 160212
  •                              A4 Paper Pack (24pk) - Capsule - Spots & Stripes Festive
  •
  •                                                                   PMA 160209
  •                          12 x 12" Paper Pack (32pk) - Capsule - Spots & Stripes Festive
  •                                                                        PMA 367109
  •                                       1m Ribbon (6pcs) - Christmas in the Country
  •                                                                   PMA 367291
  •                                 Large Ribbon Bows (12pcs) - Christmas in the Country
  •                                                                    TIL 907103
  •                          50 x 100mm Mini Clear Stamp - Tilly Daydream - Snowflake
  •                                                                 PMA 1641502
  •                             A4 Textured Premium Cardstock (20pcs) - Capsule - Black
  •

I cut a black square to 13 x 13 cm to back the spots onto I then cut a scalloped oval from the centre of this card.
When it is mounted onto the card with the other papers you can't see it.
I then cut another scallop in white and stamped the image.
Because the ovals were the same size I cut the scallops off of the white one.
I then distressed the edges this smoothed out any rough cuts and the image them fits nicely.

    Christmas baubles.

This is a variation of a previous card.
Unfortunately when I arrived at the store there was no big shot for me to use so I had to use the die as a template this gave me a slightly larger bauble.
Check the previous card for a list of items I used.

Tilly is so cute and there are lots of images that work for Autumn birthdays.
This one used a charcoal grey card stock to mat the papers and image on.

    Spots and strips

Love this layout and I will be showing you several more over the coming weeks in different colours.
I like mixing my spots and strips and this combo really works.
The oval topper was originally a rectangle one which I cut using my scalloped die I then cut the scallops off so it fit the mat and distressed the edges to round it better.

    Patchwork fun

  •                                                   Dies (7pcs) - Nesting Hexagons
  • I do realise that not everyone has a die cutting machine so

    Joy to the world

Loving the baubles, and loving these Christmas in the country papers.
There are a few papers in this pack that scream Christmas but the majority of them would be great for those masculine cards.

    This time I used

  •                                6 x 6" Paper Pack (32pk) - Christmas in the Country
  •
                                                                           PMA 169054
  •                            Mini Decoupage Medley - Christmas in the Country - Joy

  •                         20m Bakers Twine (3pcs) - Capsule - Spots & Stripes Brights
  •

    Again I used the

  •    to cut the baubles.
I then matted the joy from the decoupage medley

    The old deer!!

Well he is a stag really but my warped sense of humour has decided to call it "The old deer" don't ask it's probable the weather.

    What I used

  •                                4 x 4" Urban Stamp - Christmas in the Country - Stag
  •
  •                                 A5 Die-cut Toppers (2pk) - Christmas in the Country
  •                                                                  PMA 160149
  •                               12 x 12" Paper Pack (32pk) - Christmas in the Country
  •                                                                  PMA 367109
  •                                        1m Ribbon (6pcs) - Christmas in the Country
  •                                                                        XCU 503080
  •                                                   Dies (7pcs) - Nesting Hexagons
  •

I stamped the stag onto white card with chocolate ink cut it out and then distressed it. the rest is just layering.

    One for the guys

The hardest cards to make are the ones we make for the men in our lives.
So with this in mind I thought an apron would be a good one to do.

    So I used

  •                                12 x 12" Paper Pack (32pk) - Christmas in the Country
  •

  •                                       1m Ribbon (6pcs) - Christmas in the Country
  •                                Large Ribbon Bows (12pcs) - Christmas in the Country
  •                   A4 Ultimate Die-cut & Paper Pack (48pk) - At Christmas Lucy Cromwell
  •

The apron was cut from a piece of 5x7 kraft card and then I used my oval x cut die as a template to cut the arm curve.
The paper was cut and distressed and then I stuck the ribbons to the back of the paper and stuck to the card.
The pocket was made from a scrap of card and paper.as was the tag.
The decoupage was a picture style one so I cut the picture to remove all the white and then made up as normal and stuck it to the card.

The hexagons were cut from one of the sheets of paper in the pack. You could use

  •                                                   Dies (7pcs) - Nesting Hexagons

    Happy Holidays

I haven't made a shaker card in years so when I was asked to make one recently it was a step back in time.
I used a piece of 12 x 12 card which I then cut on an angle. I then scored on the 4" and 8".
the plane is from around the world die cutting set and the clouds as are the clouds.
The beach hut is from the Ahoy
There stamp set as is the rope knot.
The edges were inked using my handmade felt tool and inks.

I do love forever friends this one has been distressed. I found some gems that I had had for a while so I used them up.
The little hat pin was created with some  beads I had from years ago.
It's not often I use up bits from my old stash so this was a feel good card.

Dear santa please can I have a beach hut.

One of my passions in life are beach huts.
If I win the lottery I would like to buy one at hengisbury head.
It must however overlook one of my favourite places.
     The Isle of Wight.
A glass of merlot and some scrapbooking and I would be happy.
    Wake up stop dreaming.

This is the closest I will get I think.

    Home to nest

I know I always go on about the ultimate die cut pack but,
there is always so much in them.
This time the home to nest range has one and there are some beautiful images and papers.
I used some of the vintage notes lace as I felt this worked well with it.
The little flowers are from the new punches and I punched them in Kraft card.
the design is not to fiddly so it punched o.k
My advice  is the more intricate the design the thinner the paper it will cut.
