Kraft notes

So what do you do with double sided papers? I argue with myself.
I rolled the paper over a pen to get the curl. I added a piece of matching paper behind to follow the pattern through.
The flower was made with my favorite flower die "petal posy" which I shaped upwards.
The brads were in a goody bag from last year.

More Gorjuss

Another distressed Gorjuss.
It's hard to see on this one but the frame WAS white I inked it lightly to change the colour. The edges were distress with my knife on the larger piece of paper. I then inked the beige piece with my dominoes.
I cut the frame off the topper and remounted it onto the project with foam pads to add some dimension.
The butterflies are cut from the waste on the decoupage sheets.
I am sure Gorjuss has "borrowed" Mr Beans "Teddy"

Gorjuss

I have to say this range has really grown on me. the papers are so lovely and Gorjuss reminds me of Pippy Longstocking.
Now that shows my age.
So this card uses the pale beige paper which I over stamped with the text stamp "postmark" from all aboard.
I then over stamped that with the date stamp from "Air mail" also from the All aboard range.
I then added a tag from the Gorjuss ultimate die cut pack. This was  was too large for the card so I trimed it and then cut the button and stuck them back on. Gorjuss herself was cut using the "out of the box " technique. I then created a "fake die" to mount her on.
finished with one of the bookplates cut from the packaging with a few butterflies and gems.

Boxing clever

I have always said the ultimate decoupage packs are the best value for money when buying the new ranges and this one is no exception.
They are full of lovelyness.
There are always a couple of sheets of  boxes and bags and I must be honest I have been lost as to know what to do with them.
This time I had a flash of inspiration.
I made up the boxes and sandwiched them between two pieces of card.
I then covered the top piece with paper.
I then made a twisted die cut easel which I decorated with a topper and a felt flower.
Which I stuck onto the top of the boxes.

You are framed

Another helping of gorjuss this one is my new layout which you will see clearer
as the month goes by.
All the edges are distressed, surpise, surprise.
The background paper was stamped again with the all aboard stamp using a chocolate ink pad.
I cut the frame from the topper and mounted that on foam pads,
The blue section was left plain for your sentiment.

All aboard what can I say? love it.

 12 x 12 paper pack.
There are a few bits from the goody bag as well.
The edges of all the bits have been distressed with my knife.

Gorjuss

I am really loving this range maybe more than I thought I would. So the first of many samples is this one. A square kraft card with gorjuss papers which I over stamped with one of the stamps from the All aboard range.
The stripy paper is also from Gorjuss as is the bakers twine and buttons.
I did trim the decoupage a lttle so more of the background showed through.

Shes there somewhere

So the fist loop of the year draws to an end hasn't it flown by fast. this is the last sample and it's from the chronology range.
This is a 6x6 card and I used the technique I used in previous scrapbook pages over stamping the edges of the card. I then stamped the love from the vintage notes stamp set cut it and mounted it on foam pads.
The clock was cut from the 8x8 paper pack and the centre removed to put in a picture. I finished it off with a bit of metal wear and some bakers twine.

I am sure my Chronology will find it;s way into my Gorguss new stuff.
A sneaky peek of a couple of samples tomorrow.
See you then

Heart warmers

This card uses heart warmers sentiments which I cut up and put on the card as 2 separate elements. I then made a couple of flowers and handmade gem florishes.

A bit of distressing of the paper with my scissors. Which reminds me of a tip I heard use a sewing stitch unpicker to distress the edges of you card or paper safer than the other options.

Up up and away

Love these buid a scene dies There is so much you can do with them.
Here I used the largest balloon and cut it in left over bits of spots and strips with a piece of textured card stock for the balloon itself.
The message on the balloon was from the vintage notes papers. There are 2 sheets of sentiments which can be chopped up.

I did cut the sand bags for the balloon basket but must admit I lost them they were so small.

This is that layout agaaaaaaain!!
I mixed the spots and stripes and vintage notes again and this time added floating hearts and a decoupage heart.
I have finished all my demos for this loop now and I must say I used nearly all my vintage notes.
I think I will be using spots and strips with the new bits that came through the door on Thursday.

Cards or scrapbooking?

So today is my birthday and I will be quite old.
So to celebrate I am going to give away  a goody bag of crafty yummyness.
I will put a picture up later but leave a comment on this post.
The draw will close on 23rd February

I have been asked to do a demo in April showing how you can use card making products in scrapbooking and scrapbooking products on cards.
If you are a card maker you don't need to go out and buy tons of new stuff a pack of 12 x 12 card stock and a scrapbook is enough to get started. Remember if you hate giving away all your lovely bits this is a way of keeping them.

So I used my fav layout Vintage notes papers ribbon and hearts.
I punched the edge of the papers and die cut hearts to make the flower.
I will be doing quite a few more of these over the next couple of months and will do some that include more than one photo so watch this space,

The page is 12 x 12 and the card is 5 x 5

Friends

I love over stamping so this little number was chronology papers over stamped with vintage notes and the freebie stamps from the magazine.
I finished it off with a few clock bits that I cut from white card and inked they did look a lot darker in real life.
The heart was from the vintage notes decoupage pack with a bit of chronology metal wear,

Wish I could draw.

My favorite layout once again. I used vintage notes papers and some of the spots and strips. Lots of matting and layering a handmade flower and a just to say topper.
I tried to do a freehand florish but it was a total failure never mind better luck next time.

Steam train

Love Chronology and this page was a combination of the one on www.bespokecardsandmore.com  and the Steam fair an earlier post.
The edge was  stamped with the Looking glass stamp from the Chronology range using chocolate ink. I then over stamped with the freebie stamp from Creativity.
The circle was cut from the card using the circle shape cutter. I the put a piece of black onto the back of the page.
Re cut the circle smaller and stuck it back into the space.
This created a section to do my journaling on.
I covered the join with clock pieces from Chronology - Pocket Watch and a balloon from build a scene vintage  hot air  balloon. i added a few bits of metal wear again from the Chronology range.
The title was some alphabet stickers that I coloured brown and then mounted onto kraft card.
I then cut these into small scrabble size tiles.

Love is all around us

Hope you all received lots of lovely Valentines day cards yesterday.
This card was made using the Vintage notes filigree heart die,  textured card stock, just to say toppers and sentiment and Vintage notes woven fabric tape.
I did find that it helps to use either silicone paper or warburtons bread wrapper to help the dies release.
The flower vase was glased with Anita's 3D gloss. I finished the heart off with some gems.

Build a scene

Oh these are fantastic dies.
I'm still using these as complete sets but will be mixing them up I think.
I did cut a balloon from the balloon set and placed this low behind the landmarks.
I cut the scene in white and then lightly inked the edges to make it stand out.
Matted and layered it onto crisp white black and blue.

Love

Taking photos at a demo isn't always easy so I'm sorry if they arn't that good.
"Vintage note" is lovely and this simple little card uses the papers and decoupage.
I team my papers with "Papermania" textured card stock.
 This comes in A5, A4, 8 x 8 and 12 x 12  you get 75 different colurs in a pack.
Remember to make it go further gut it as much as you can.

This card used "vintage notes" papers and decoupage.

Here it is again

As I said yesterday I use this layout alot, again this one uses "spots and strips" but is a simple
 8 x 8 layout.
It took 15 mins and leaves a lot of scope for you to take it to the next level.

Spots and srtip

I have used "spots and strips" in this one and a couple of handmade flowers.
The topper was from "Vintage notes"

Steam fair

This may be my last ever post if my son finds out I have put this page on here.
I really like the "Chronology" range this work great with our visit to the Dorset steam fair.
I used textured card and stamp the edge in chocolate. I then used the freebie stamp from the magazine and black ink and randomly stamped over the cogs. I matted the photo onto card stock as I'm not sure if the card board box I ripped up was acid free.
The other elements were made using dies which I distressed.

Proud to be british

2012 was such a great year and I wanted to incorporate into my page.
So I used "portabello rd" a great range for all those 2012 pages. I used the "build a scene set" and cut the London scene in shades of blue.
The Proud to be British was cut using the "Xcut" alphabet die.
This one has little holes in the letters so I stuck tons of gems to represent the diamond jubilee.
The Olympic rings were cut using a circular die.
You can't see the rub ons very well but they said "Inspire a generation"

Just to say

This is my favorite card from the present loop.
As you know I love the kraft card so I teamed this up with some cream card and papers from the "spots and strips collection".
This paper is double sided and the strip  used was from the same sheet
I stamped a sentiment from "vintage notes" and used a decoupage that I had left over from "just to say" .
I tied a bow and stuck that to the card with silicone glue and finished it off with a "vintage notes" decorative pin.

It's been a week

So it's Sunday if I have scheduled this post correctly. And I have posted everyday.
Easy if you plan ahead!!!! I think not.

This is the last of my samples so hopefully I got some good photos yesterday for the coming week.
this card uses the vintage notes collection.
Note to self take some photos of spots and stripes.
The centre section is one of the journalling tags and the rose is from the decoupage pack although there is not decoupage nvolved.
I shaped the flower and stuck it to the card using silicone to give it that dimension.
The blitters at the top were one I found in the bottom of my embellishment box.

Double the heart

Love this die. It is so pretty.
I used double sided paper for the heart after cutting it I decided  that the waste was very pretty so I trimmed the paper and matted and layered it a couple of times gutting each piece as I went.
I finished it off with a crochet flower, button and a piece of bakers twine a sentiment and a few domed gems.

Vintage notes

This is my eclectic moment. The photo doesn't do it any favours.
The base card is kraft which really works well with the vintage notes collection.
I did a bit of stamping on the card and then layered up papers, sentiments and buttons.
I added a pleated strip and a crochet flower for a bit of texture.

See you tomorrow.

Art Deco

Wow this is a simple card!!
The topper is from the ultimate pack.
I love my matting and layering as it can make the papers and images. pop.
It does add a bit of weight to the card.
So where possible I gut the card, this saves me card and cuts the weight down.
Everything is stuck with tape so is very flat.

Gutting is one of those technical terms, NOT.
It means cutting a frame out of the card.
Save the centre piece of card for a future project and use the frame for your matting.
This really comes into it's own when using expensive card or when card is limited.
It does save pennies as well.

Love vintage notes

Yes I do love vintage notes.
This layout is one that i will be taking to demos this coming month. used textured card stock for the mats and vintage notes papers and journaling tags teamed up with some of the elements from the decoupage pack.

I am trying to schedule my posts so I don't miss a day so lets see if this works.I am preparing this on Tuesday morning to go live on Wednesday.

A touch of chronology

Loving the new chronology range. It has to be said I do love vintage and steampunk styles so this is great for me.
This card was made using a 5x7 card a piece of paper from the 8x8 paper pack that I cut and matted on black card. I then used some of the screw brads in the corners.
The stamped image is the freebie of the front of creativity magazine stamped and cut using the out of the box technique. I then matted this onto black card.
The hinge effect was created by cutting the winder part from the Xcut clock die set.
Quite a "clean" card watch out later when I post a distressed card.

Don't forget to pop over to www.bespokecardsandmore.blogspot.com to see a different
selection of cards.

All aboard

So this little offering is from a batch of scrapbook layouts I have done. we are currently doing this one at my scrapbook crops.
The 12x12 card stock was a dotty coreordinations.
The papers are from home for christmas I used the X cut heart die and mats of black. the large heart was cut free hand and finished with a couple of gems.
The flower was made by cutting 8 small hearts folded in half and arranged in a circle. I topped the flower with a hand cut snowflake from a scrap of paper.
The leaves were cut from Cherry Lynn pine branch.
The title was cut on my cricut.

Pop back tomorrow for another card.

Been awhile

So I'm back the only way I could do it was to go back to my beloved Iphone. I have braved the weather and taken some pictures of my latest batch. So here we go again I promise to try and be a better blogger.

These 2 cards are both made using A5 kraft cards. The backing papers on the left card is from capsule collection spots and strips with the Vintage notes stamp and spots and strips flowers finished of with a button and bakers twine. The second card is using vintage notes papers and the flower etc is the same as the other card.

Pop back tomorrow and I will show you a scrapbook page using the vintage notes collection.
thanks for popping by.
