On Saturday I will be at Crafting Around on the Isle of Wight.

We have set a scrapbook challenge and I thought that you might like to see my finished page to inspire you.

Cath Kidson

 

 

A Cath Kidson inspired hand bag card.

It even has a label This was from the one of the Ahoy There stamp sets.

The papers and flowers are from capsule collection spots and strips bright.

Pin wheels

 

Pin wheels seem to be a really trendy thing at the mo.

When I first showed this card off I had to admit I had only ever made 3 pin wheels and yes they are all on this card.

I have mad quite a few since then.

Sun or rain??

 

 

A stamped row of beach huts. Makes me think of summer.

As I write this it's blowing a gale outside and it's really cold and wet.

Lets hope when you read this the sun is shining.

Home to nest

 

What a beautiful range this Home to nest is.

I love the colours and soft images.

 And yes it works great with my favourite Kraft card.

A bit of twine finishes it off nicely.

A sandy shaker card.

I added a bit of sand to this card and made the life belt from card and twine.

Again a very simple card but very effective.

This card has been made using the Ahoy There papers and a small amount of card.

Ribbons

 

 

Ahoy There me heartie. a simple card using ribbons.

I'm sure you have as many bits of ribbon as I do.

How about using them up and making some charity cards.

Forever Friends

 

I do love forever friends this one has been distressed. I found some gems that I had had for a while so I used them up.

The little hat pin was created with some  beads I had from years ago.

It's not often I use up bits from my old stash so this was a feel good card.

shame it didn't make a dent in my pile.

Picket fence.

 

When is a seed label not a seed label?? When it's a fence.

I used the large label to stamp out a picket fence. I then used a brick embossing folder to create the wall effect.

The decoupage was from Home to nest.

Dear santa please can I have a beach hut.

 

 

One of my passions in life are beach huts.

 If I win the lottery I would like to buy one at hengisbury head.

It must however overlook one of my favourite places.

 The Isle of Wight.

A glass of merlot and some scrapbooking and I would be happy.

Wake up stop dreaming.

 

This is the closest I will get I think.

 

Ahoy there stamps, and papers mixed with some capsule collection bright and textured card a match made in heaven.

Home to nest

 

I know I always go on about the ultimate die cut pack but,

there is always so much in them.

This time the home to nest range has one and there are some beautiful images and papers.

I used some of the vintage notes lace as I felt this worked well with it.

The little flowers are from the new punches and I punched them in Kraft card.

the design is not to fiddly so it punched o.k

My advice  is the more intricate the design the thinner the paper it will cut.

Simple and quick.

 

This card is so simple and could be used for many different occasions. It uses a big bloomer flower, bakers twine, button and textured card stock.

I used the capsule collection bright range.

Home to nest

 

 

Home to nest is such a lovely range with it's birds boxes and little images.

this is a favourite image at the mo very simple but several layers to add interest. The selection of buttons I have at the mo are amazing so many different colours and sizes.

Soft and subtle Gorjuss

 

Ohh I'm sorry it's been a while. so much has been going on and I am afraid blogland had to take a backstep. Still I 'm back again for now.

 

This is a card I realised I had not posted. there's some simple layering going on and the stamped image uses the masking technique.

I did get lots of comments about Gorjuss and the fact that she was to dark so this one was coloured in paler colours and I paper pieced the dress. The papers are from forever friends.
