As promised demo's

This is not what I was expecting to be posting this week. I am no longer the arts and crafts supervisor at the range. This is my choose as I have gone back to part-time which is great as I was finding full-time to much.
I will now be in work Wed-Sat. However part of the deal with going back to part-time was that Technique Thursday has been stopped. We will therefore only be doing demos on alternate weekends. I am so sorry to all of you that attended this and I will try and incorporate something into the weekends to help you pick up those techniques.

So to move forward the demo list I put out before Christmas is now useless. I will only be doing a month at a time as I found I was constantly changing the list before.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for you help, support, love and best wishes. I wish you all a happy new year and hope to see you at a demo.

Ladies do you remember the tune to the crunchie advert??? "I'm so excited" Well sing along if you do.
I am not talking Christmas. What's that I hear you say 26 hours to go and she's excited about something else. Well my Christmas arrived today the new Docraft products arrived at work, they are even better than I remember from conference. I still love our buyer as promised we have around about 15 new bits and bobs to go through our big shot. The birdsong range is fantastic I just love the Lazar cut 8x8 sheet I am thinking that I will have to buy more packs to stroke. Country companions is oh so cute and I am sure will be a big hit. Cup cakes is rather yummy. We have V&A this time round and I am sure you will love the tapestry stamps in this and the gardenia range. V&A will team up beautifully with the new capsule collection that I have raved over and yes it is as pretty as I remember.
Goody bags are lush and loaded with a soft lemon collection as well as other bits. The stamp set is brilliant I can see lots of ideas and yes this time I have the time to put them into practice. Yea!!
Oh I nearly forgot the new forever friends range has arrived and may I be the first to wish you a HAPPY EASTER yes that is the theme, well spring is really but hey I see lots of eggs.
If all that isn't enough for you Trimcraft have delivered what I think is a part delivery there are some pretty decoupage and 8x8 pack combinations at £3.99 I guessed £5.99 what do I know?? There are also some 12x12, 8x8 and stack packs to complement the gift packs "Sweet owl" oh so cute and "Animal Antics" note to self must get out more in 2011 and stop listening to my son describing his daughter but he is right she is oh so cute.
There are still lots of bargains to be had with most of our Christmas stock at 1/2 price. so come in and see me tomorrow. I will be off from 5pm 24th Dec 2010 until 9.30am 2nd January 2011.
Do call back as I will be updating the demos next week grandaughter and niece permitting.

Have a Fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Watch this space for exciting charity news in the new year. There will be 3 to work towards.

I know it's short notice but can you help me make some valentines cards to send out to the troops so they can send them back to there loved ones. Problem is I need them at work by 15th January. I haven't set a target the more the better here's hoping.

Happy Christmas

I would just like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year. I look forward to seeing you all in the future and showing you the new goodies that both The Range and Docraft have on offer. It is going to be really exciting. Unfortunatly you will all be having to learn the power of restraint as there are so many fantastic new things to come.

The first demo is 6th Jan at 5.30pm - 7.30pm this is scrapcards so save all your bits and bobs papers ribbons lace etc.

There is a change to the list that was at work already the 8th Jan demo is now 9th Jan 11am-3pm as I am on the isle of wight on the 8th.

The Docraft demo is on 15th Jan 10am-4pm

I have decided to only make lists up a month or so at a time as I don't want to have to keep changing them.

Remember they are always popular so if you want to get a seat get there early.

Lastly I would like to thank you all for the fantastic cards and pressies I have received for my granddaughter Paige. My son and his partner were completely blown away with you generosity and have asked me to say thank you.

The new range of papermania cards are really good at 300gsm they are a higher weight than the Anitas. There are a lot of new ideas in them white, cream and pearl. gate folds and tri fold apeture as well as scalloped. Lots of different sizes including a small 3x3 in scalloped or plain edge.

A variation on a theme this one uses kraft card which is the new papermania 300gsm range Noel is a Christmas chipboard that I coloured with fluid chalks. I also used the masking technique to put the litte deer in front of the large one.

Easel card one step further I will put a tutorial up for this one and the flowers.

This card shows the punched flowers better.

Woodland folk is so cute this card is using the double sided papers, decoupage from the 8x8 pack a few stars and of course the edges need chalking with the fuid chalks.

These stickers are really nice my tip for using the larger ones is to cover with masking tape and rub down with an embossing tool gently ift and place on you card rub down with your finger and the image will come of nicely. If mounting onto glitter card don't forget your bald patch.

Her it is the Christmas Ball
Posted by Picasa
I apoligise for the explanation but unfortunatly putting instructions into words and in reverse order is not my forte. I hope you have as much fun doing this as I did and call back again as I will be loading tons of more things on soon.

Click on older posts to see the rest of the ball.

You will need 60 squares and a bottle of Anita's Tacky glue. Your glue needs to be strong to hold the folds together.

Take a square it can be any size but I would suggest no bigger than 3 inch and no smaller than 13/4 inch

Posted by Picasa
Fold your square in half corner to corner.
Posted by Picasa
Posted by Picasa
With the fold line facing you fold the outside point up corner.
Posted by Picasa
Posted by Picasa
Fold the flap back so it sits on the outside edge.
Posted by Picasa
place your fingers into the flaps and fold back.
Posted by Picasa
Fold the flaps back so they are in the inside of the petal.
Posted by Picasa
Fold the flaps back to create a square and put your glue on the outside of the flap and stick together. See next photo.

Stick 2 together. Carry on until you have used 5 petals.
