Happy 18th Andrew

I was asked to make an 18th birthday card for my Aunties Grandson so decided to make a venetian easel card. I used some of the decoupage from the wellington range added a bit of 3D gloss and some buttons. I had to make sure she realised it would have to be posted at the post office as I never make a card that would get away with a 60p stamp. You can find the instructions for this fold on Joanna Sheens website thanks for the inspiration Sheila Weaver.
Has it worked this time??

Another Lucy Cromwell

A quick one today as I am off to the dentist ahhhhh hate dentists and this is for an extraction or 2.

This little card was made using acetate folded into a square card. I stuck Lucy Cromwells double sided paper to the inside of the card and then stuck a decoupage topper to the front so there is no DST showing. Finished off with a sentiment.

Tower box

Have been having a little play to see how easy these are to make and it was very easy. I used a sheet of textured A4 I cut it 9cm high and scoresthe lenghth  at 7cm increments. The little bit on the end I punch a fancy border. I then cut the square cards into 4 11cm squares. Then I scored a 2cm border. snip into the corders and  make into little boxes. These are then stuck onto each section starting on the left and making sure they side on top of each other.I then made another little box from the textured card I punch one section of border on each side before making up. Finish off with a a small square of cream and again punch the edge and stick on the top decorate with Lucy Cromwell products.

So off to buy some bits for that this morning and as the sun is out I will sort out those photos. Be back tomorrow.

So it's been almost a week since I started this daily blogging doesn't take as long as I thought. And it makes me do a proper write up straight away.
Today's offering is a dutch fold card with wellington papers and topper. The card blank is a stepper card cut down. The edge of the flap was cut using the designer die cuts as a template. I finished it off with 3D gloss on the boots.
I am sure you will be seeing this fold a lot over the next few weeks check out my other blog as I have put another variation on there as well.

Lucy Cromwell

Good morning more rain today and already the wind is blowing a hoolie. So a good day for staying in and crafting.
The offering for today is a Lucy Cromwell water coloured card. The photo doesn't do it justice so hopefully my description will make sense.
Cut a piece of pale pink a little bit smaller than the card blank. Cut a piece of darker pink slightly smaller again. With the large circle die cut an aperture and a tag from the dark pink. With a smaller scallop circle cut a circle in the pale pink so it sits inside the dark pink. Stamp the image and watercolour. Die cut with a small circle that will sit inside the scallop. Stamp the sentiment on to a piece of card. Tie the two pieces of pink together on the edge. Stick the sentiment behind the tag aperture. Stick the pale pink with DST and stick the dark pink with Foam tape. Stick the image inside the scallop with foam tape. Finish off with gems and a little Anita's 3D gloss on the vase.

Lucy Cromwell

So here I am talking to myself again!!! If you are reading this please leave a comment just so I know your out there.

This is another card from Saturday again it's kraft card and Lucy Cromwell this time.
Fold the front of the card in half. Distress the edge of the card.
Take the large scalloped heart and place on the front of the card so the centre of the heart runs down the fold line.
You are only going to die cut the heart on the half nearest to the open edge. To do this you place the section of the die that needs cutting inbetween the plates and onto the multi purpose platform and pass through the big shot. Any part of the die that isn't between the plates won't cut.
Cut and emboss another heart and distress the embossing. Stick this over the cut area.
Decoupage a Lucy cromwell image and stick to the card.
Die cut some flowers from Lucy Cromwell papers and shape. Place these onto the side of the heart.
Finish off with a sentiment.

Wellington Fathers day

What a busy time was planning on posting everyday but have been very busy again still here is the next installment.
I love kraft card as you know and it works really well with wellington. Here I teamed it up with a simple stamped background an off cut of paper which I scalloped with my dies. I then stamped and watercoloured the little girl, cut her out and using foam tape placed her on the card. A simple card which could go through the post!!! on a 60p stamp very rare for me.

die cutting

So you all know how much I love my big shot so it's always great to show someone new just what it can do.
So this is a variation on a previous card. I die cut a card blank from kraft card leaving a little of the die hanging off the edge of the fold. I then cut 2 further large hearts one of which I cut into a frame. I then embossed the frame to add some texture. This was sat onto the heart using foam pads. I cut and shaped several flowers and stuck them into the frame. I then made the card blank into an easel and put the frame onto it. Finished off with a couple of Lucy Cromwell sentiments and a Lincoln linen button.
